Allan Gardyne's End-December, 2004 Update

PREamble from Ken Evoy, President SiteSell.com Allan Gardyne is THE #1 affiliate marketing expert. He's also a rather modest, understated gentleman. For example, when Allan mentions that he "got ill" this past year, Allan actually had aplastic anemia (often fatal). Allan had a bone marrow transplant, went through hell, and is doing quite well now... and we are all a bit better for his courage. An amazing man, one of integrity and good cheer, if you are interested in the affiliate monetization model, his site (associateprograms.com) is the only one I consider "must reading." Here is his update...

In 2002 I hired a new assistant, gave him a copy of Site Build It, and told him to build an affiliate website.

Here's an update...

He eventually left me to do his own thing. I got sick and more or less forgot about his website.

For the first nine months of 2004 NO WORK AT ALL was done on that website.

Talk about low maintenance... this was ZERO maintenance.

AFTER it was a big success, we published and highly promoted a case study about it on our associateprograms.com site and newsletters. So that site now has copycats and competitors galore.

So how's our original little "experiment" doing?

Terrible, you might expect?

On the contrary. For the first nine months of this year, it continued to generate about $1,000 a month.

With no effort.

A couple of months ago I gave it to another assistant, who fixed some faulty links, spruced it up a little and placed some AdSense ads more prominently.

Result: It earned $2,363.59 last month...

...without paying a cent in advertising.

Site Build It has always been brilliant. And I'm amazed at how enormously it has been improved since this original, experimental site was built.

And there's now a totally revamped, easier to use Action Guide, and a truly wonderful private SBI forum where SBI users help each other. Questions are fully answered by experts.

Oh yes, our second site, also highly publicized (AFTER we made it successful) also keeps growing. I proved, to myself first, that SBI! works, and THEN publicized it. And I'll still update on those two sites to our readers and visitors.

As an affiliate, you know I love the low-maintenance, zero-customer contact way to do business. That's why I have bought more SBI! sites. Each makes me a good income , but I'm not revealing those publicly.

After all, I know that SBI! works, and AssociatePrograms.com has prominently published the first two case studies in detail on its site. Any readers and visitors who don't "get it" by now, well, they never will.

So these new sites? These are just for me. :-)
