I don't see myself as a businesswoman...

I don't know how to sell and I don't like to sell. So how can I own an internet business that I am very proud of?

After all, a business is all about selling, right?

Wrong! There is another way to doing business, a better way, which is what SBI! taught me. It is about "pre-selling."

And this suits me just fine. In fact, it suits me perfectly.

My Search for Extra Income

I hold a demanding full-time job, working as an office administrator with an international company. But when my marriage crumbled, I found myself desperately in need of extra income.

At the time, I tried my hand at various part-time businesses and joined many MLM companies in my bid to earn more money. But none was successful, because I didn't know how to sell.

My upline advised me to "go and learn." I tried to learn, but it didn't help me much. I still didn't like selling.

So I continued my search. Working a full-time job is hard enough for a single mom, so I didn't want to have to take up a second job and be away from my children more than necessary. I started looking for something I could do from home, after office hours.

I turned to the internet and read everything I could about "working from home." I even dabbled with "home typing," "online surveys," "mystery shopping," "data entry," etc. I soon got tired of the long hours and very little or almost no income.

It was sometime in 2005 when my brother found SBI!. While he was so enthusiastic about his discovery, I was like "ho hum." For a single mom like me, every dollar counts and I was tired of all the scams that were around.

However, one day, I actually took a look at SBI!, the thing that my brother was bragging so much about. I read and devoured everything on Sitesell.com. The main thing that actually drew me to sign-up was the "money-back guarantee." No harm trying, I thought, and if I didn't do well I could always ask for my money back.

Multi-Tasking as a Single Mom

Right from the beginning I wanted to make my site work, and to be sure that I did things correctly. My brother came to my rescue once again. He knew that I was juicing a lot so he told me to write about juicing. And I did.

I followed the Action Guide faithfully and implemented all that was taught as closely as possible. (I must confess that there was still much more that I could have done but didn't.)

After about one year, I managed to write only about 80 pages. Since I worked very long and demanding hours at my full-time job, I didn't have much time left to work on the site.

I would come home late from work, spend time with my children, put them to bed, and then work on my site. Little by little I prodded on. Sometimes, I was so excited, I would stay up till 4 AM to complete a page. And then it was time to wake up at 5.30 AM to prepare my children for school.

This went on for many nights. On good nights, I would get to sleep 5-6 hours. Of course, I would feel tired sometimes, but my fresh juices kept me going.

During all this time, I was pleasantly surprised to see my site traffic increasing, albeit slowly. I was thinking to myself, even if I didn't make any money out of this site, it would have been an accomplishment for me to have built a site with whatever little time I had.

The number of lovely emails I received, and compliments I got from friends were enough to keep me going on.

A Refreshing Break

I decided to take a break from "super-mom-do-it-all" and let my SBI! site coast. I spent lots of time with my children, went out to movies with friends, read story books and caught up on my sleep. It was bliss.

After I was well rested, I decided to make a come-back and continue building my site from where I left off. I started going to the library to research more content. Juicing was a topic that is close to my heart and the more I researched, the more passionate I became about it.

I didn't work hard on my site (no time with kids and family!), but the pace was fine for me. My goal was (and still is) to keep a balanced life, and get enough sleep and rest.

The Beginning of my MLM Adventure

My Adsense income alone was growing despite the relative few hours I put into the site. But I wanted to do more to help pay my bills.

Unbeknown to me, the owner of an MLM juice extractor company had heard of me and saw my website. The Executive Director wrote me an email and told me how impressed she was with my site and that she would like to work with me. Guess what I did? I turned her down. Based on my past experiences, I wasn't interested in trying another MLM business.

One day after many months had passed, I simply walked into this same company's office to enquire about the juicer. It so happened the Executive Director was in town, so I requested a meeting with her. She was a very warm and friendly person. We ended up talking for hours and she managed to convince me to join as a distributor under their Juicing Consultant program. My adventure had just begun.

Getting Noticed by All the Right People!

From the beginning of 2008, my site traffic has rapidly increased and my Adsense income has more than tripled. At the time of writing this, my traffic is hovering around 800 visitors a day. Not very many by most SBIers' standard, but it is enough to keep me busy.

I receive an enquiry about my juice extractor almost every other day, either by email or on my mobile phone. In the evenings and during the weekends, I visit homes to demo and sell my juice extractors.

Last month, May 2008, I was one of the top performers in selling the juicers, second only after a veteran. In a short span of only about seven months, I have recruited ten downlines - something I've never done before.

The MLM company soon began to take notice of me and they have invited me to attend their top leaders' meeting. I have been asked to speak to a big audience concerning "The Benefits of Juicing." What a change to my life!!

My MLM business has opened a door to a new venture for me. Here's how it happened... a gentleman found me on my website and invited me to do a demo for him. On the day of the demo, he forgot about our appointment and I ended up waiting for him for two hours, and then he wasn't interested in my juice extractor. Instead, he wanted me to design some healthy juice recipes for his healthy food restaurant.

It got me busy for two months, experimenting and juice-tasting and when I finally presented the "secret recipes" to him, he also wanted me to train his workers. For this piece of job, I charged him good money. It opened up my eyes to the great potential of my business.

The Fringe Benefits

I am thrilled with the direction my business is going. I believe in the "Law of Attraction" where I am seeing many more good things being unfolded right before my eyes. And what's amazing above it all is that it doesn't seem like I'm selling. People who contacted me have already been sold on my website. They have already seen and felt my passion and know that they want what I have to offer. When they call me, their mind was already made up to make that purchase.

In my journey, I have had the opportunity to meet with many very kind people. All my customers are easy to deal with. My site has educated them well on the uniqueness of my product and they feel secure purchasing the juice extractor from me. Some of them had become my good friends as they share the same passion with me and were very impressed with my juicing knowledge that I freely share on my site. This is the power of pre-selling.

Future Plans

I often wonder how far I could go if I worked full-time on my site business. I know the sky's the limit, and with SBI!, it is not impossible. I'm looking forward to the day when I can finally quit my day job and continue to grow my business.

Through my SBI! site, I have learned the possibilities of multiple income, which had never crossed my mind when I first began. Now, I find there are so many avenues opening up to me that I don't know where to start!

• As I write this, I am in the midst of preparing a white paper to be used for viral marketing.

• I recently found a company who is willing to dropship the juice extractors for me worldwide, and am in the midst of negotiating a contract with them. I can soon offer worldwide shipping on my site.
  
  
• I'm also currently reviewing a couple of international MLM companies with great products which are related to my site topic. Besides being able to offer genuinely good health products to my site visitors, the residual passive income that these internet MLM companies offer is a bonus.

Finally, I'm now able to put aside a chunk of money every month for my children's future, and still have some left over to go for an annual vacation. With SBI!, dreams can and do come true.
