JuggleNow Update
About a year later, Jugglenow has steadily grown - in traffic and sales. Alexa ranks my site in the Top 1% of all sites in the world, traffic-wise, something I'm very proud of. (Thanks, SBI!.)
We offer over 100 different products from over a dozen
manufacturers in 4 different countries. The number of unique visitors per month has stayed around 3000, but should go over 4000 this
month.
Christmas last year caught us a little off-guard, with 40 to 50 orders per day. But we stayed on top of
it, and are planning now for the coming holidays. We have shipped to all or almost all of the 50 states. (Hmmm, I think
there's a contest in there, for an upcoming newsletter.) We have shipped juggling products to countries on almost every
continent. (No Antarctica. Yet.)
Almost a year ago, I started my second SBI! site at http://www.parrotsnow.com/. It
was a logical choice, being another topic I love and know. (We have 3 parrots now.) And the Brainstorming tool confirmed
there was good profitability for it.
Parrotsnow is quickly catching up to Jugglenow in traffic. Actually, the traffic growth coming in looks like it will beat Jugglenow within a few months. And Alexa shows that Parrotsnow is getting close to entering the Top 1%.
I didn't start selling products right away on Parrotsnow. As I did with Jugglenow, I began by adding good content. More than ever, I simply follow the step-by-step-by-step Action Guide (video this time, wow!). That focus really keeps me on track.
On the site, we already have 5 pages of pictures that visitors have
sent in. And a page dedicated to some wonderful "bird rescue" stories that people have contributed.
There's already a great subscriber
list to the newsletter, and response to it has been most gratifying. It's so obvious an e-zine builds a loyal foundation of future and repeating customers.
Speaking of customers, I have started adding parrot products. And I have another couple dozen new ones that I'm working on adding today.
I simply plug in PayPal's shopping cart, and I love PayLoadz for
e-goods. And I know (from the forums and now by private e-mail) several SBIers who are doing a booming e-goods business by using digibuy.com or clickbank or ccnow. There are many good e-commerce services out there that will help you "monetize" but what's the point without traffic.
Sales at Parrotsnow have not caught up to Jugglenow yet. But they've been steadily growing and
they will match or pass Jugglenow, I'm sure, at the rate that traffic
and sales are going. But "traffic" is the key part of all this.
SBI! does the heavy lifting, (i.e., traffic!). Without that, it's all a waste of time.
I can't begin to think that I'd have two successful online businesses today without
SBI!. And to think... I just followed the Guide.
Forever grateful, Jim Nelson
