SELLING HARD GOODS

JuggleNow Update, November 2007

It's been 6 years now, since I started my JuggleNow.com site with SBI!. Seems like yesterday. I still remember how exciting it was to register my domain name. What a wonderful ride!

So, time for a little update...

  • Traffic has continued to grow for JuggleNow.com and ParrotsNow.com isn't far behind. Sales have been great, and we're already pretty well stocked for the coming Christmas season.

  • I continue to add to the line of juggling products that we carry. But now when someone releases a new product, they contact me. I don't even have to go looking for new items. I know it's because SBI! has helped me rank so well in the search engines for so many great keywords and phrases.

This past summer, I got to visit with one of our biggest suppliers in Montreal, where they were able to show me a lot of their new products (that we now carry, of course).

  • A'Lona helps with packing most of the orders, but she finally started her own SBI! sites too. It's been fun to help her and see her excitement as traffic grows. Her sites are www.upper-peninsula-now.com and www.scrapbook-sensations.com and she's just starting to see some nice income, mainly through AdSense and affiliate programs, much easier than packing and shipping orders.

  • Some of the most popular pages on my site are newer ones about the circus and Cirque du Soleil. The juggler in the newest Cirque show is Anthony Gatto, one of the very best jugglers working today. And I'm just finishing up an interview I did with him and Dick Franco, another highly respected juggler. (I got to see him in Montreal when we were there this past summer.)

  • I've just started using SBI!'s Content 2.0 tool, a great way to increase the sense of community that my visitors already have. I invite them to share their own stories and experiences on my site (new content that I don't have to write!). My visitors take advantage of the opportunity and then they send their friends to check out the stories they wrote on my site.

  • I've also been doing some fun contests that have been very popular. The one that I did for World Juggling Day had 337 entrants, way more than an "official" 60 year old juggling organization had.

I was going to do a contest where people had to guess which US state we have NOT shipped to. But... we have shipped to every state in the US! And Content 2.0 will make contests even easier, more fun and more viral!

  • Oh, I also had a new look and feel designed for JuggleNow that I love!
What more can I say?

Thanks Ken and SBI! for not only making my life richer, but a lot more fun, too!

Happy Juggling!
