SBI! Reviews: Local Business
Update #8
Whew! Another action-packed year at Asphalt Kingdom! But that's the way it's been since I started my online business 9 years ago. I love it!
I have lots of exciting news, including something that proves that the SBI! process works. But I'm going to keep you in suspense for a minute or so.
Extending Our Reach
Over the past 12 months, I continued to push the C T P M and I also followed SBI!'s recommendations for social media 'best practices.' How?
With the help of my staff, I added a lot of new content on asphaltkingdom.com and also accepted requests to do some guest posting on other sites. Our efforts increased the number of incoming links from high quality sources.
On top of that, the team and I hit Facebook, Twitter and Google+ with a variety of media - infographics, videos, quizzes and case studies.
So what was the payoff for all of our work? We were able to connect with our most highly targeted customers - the 20% who make up 80% of our sales.
Ready For "Big Company" Capabilities
Traffic wasn't the only part of the business that increased, though. I added
Ken, on case-studies.sitesell.com, you say that I went from "dead-end Canadian asphalt man to cutting edge, international digital man." Well now my goal is to add "big company man" to that description. :-)
The downside of my amazing success is that my business has outgrown SBI!. It needs more "big company" capabilities (inventory control, dynamic pricing, etc.) in order to take my "small business" to the next level.
The decision to move asphaltkingdom.com away from SBI! was really tough (the transfer itself was easy). There is no doubt in my mind that our growth and rankings are due to the very solid foundation SBI! gave my business.
Onward and Upward,
